Navneet Grewal

Navneet Grewal litigates cases that result in greater social integration and empowerment of people with disabilities – with a significant focus on housing and homelessness. Through her work, Grewal strives to eliminate the harmful and ongoing impacts of a history of segregation and discrimination and to fight for racial and disability justice. She has successfully litigated cases in state and federal court that have expanded due process rights for Section 8 voucher applicants, reimbursed thousands of public housing residents for rent overcharges, enforced state land use and zoning laws (resulting in the development of affordable housing), defended local source of income discrimination laws, and preserved mobile home parks. Grewal is a graduate of the New York University School of Law, where she received the Vanderbilt Medal, and the Black, Latino, and Asian Pacific American Alumni Association’s Public Service Award. She is also a recipient of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California’s Public Interest Award. Learn more about Navneet Grewal.
