Illinois Legislators Vote to Put Fair Tax Amendment on November 2020 Ballot

Voters will now get to decide if Illinois should enact a Fair Tax.

In May 2019, both chambers of the Illinois Legislature voted to place the Fair Tax constitutional amendment (SJRCA 1) on the November 2020 ballot. Voters will now get to decide if Illinois should enact a Fair Tax.

The Responsible Budget Coalition, of which the Shriver Center is a member, is a nonpartisan statewide coalition made up of over 300 member organizations.
