Preparing a Children's Supplemental Security Income Disability Case for Hearing

The new federal welfare law redefined disability for children claiming Supplemental Security Income benefits and directed the Social Security Administration to make changes in the way it evaluates childhood disability claims. Advocates should be prepared for hearings of children's Supplemental Security Income disability cases under the new rules.
