Andrea Porter joined the Shriver Center in 2019. She has more than five years of experience raising funds from individuals and institutions for causes ranging from housing insecurity to women’s rights. Most recently, she served as the associate director for Claretian Associates, where she raised and stewarded more than $1.5 million in revenue to develop affordable housing. Andrea started her career in Los Angeles as a development intern assisting with donor communications and stewardship. She also served as a volunteer community organizer to advance the rights of returning citizens and as a board member for Alliance of the Southeast, where she helped draft an anti-displacement policy on behalf of local low-income families. Andrea has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Southern California, and is completing her Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago.
