Tax Law 101 for the Legal Aid Practitioner

People with low income can have as many tax problems as those with a higher income. Legal aid attorneys who are not familiar with tax law need to be able to recognize tax issues and seek advice or make an appropriate referral. Tax law questions often arise in family law, debt, and social security cases.
