The Violence Against Women Act Now Ensures Legal Services for Immigrant Women

The recent reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act allows programs funded by the Legal Services Corporation to assist immigrant victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and other crimes. An analysis of the new eligibility rules helps advocates understand the scope of services that may be rendered with federal funds to what types of clients.
