Civil Rights Protections and Welfare Employment Programs

Even though Congress' enactment of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act took away the right to receive federal welfare benefits, federal laws protecting recipients remain. This article describes how antidiscrimination civil rights statutes may help persons moving from welfare to work.
