Financial Education Working Group


This working group was convened by the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, the City of Chicago Treasurer’s Office, and the Illinois Asset Building Group to discuss Illinois’ current high school financial education mandate and possible reforms to improve its effectiveness. During these working group meetings we discuss financial literacy statistics, current federal financial education initiatives, Illinois’ laws on financial education in schools, and proposals for improvements.
