Shriver Award Recipients


The Sargent Shriver Award for Equal Justice honors individuals who have contributed greatly to the cause of justice for people in poverty.  Named after the founder of the Shriver Center, this award recognizes the extraordinary spirit, talent, leadership, and commitment that are associated with Sargent Shriver in promoting the American concept of “equal justice for all.”  Mr. Shriver inspires individuals to action, employing commonsense strategies through law, policy, and individual action to further the ideals of a just and humane society.
